Biden/Harris 2021-

Economy/Inflation:

Inflation rates hit a 40 year high last week, coming in at 9.1%.

The cost of everyday staples also increased. The price of eggs went up 33.1%, meat 8.2%, gasoline 59.9%, used cars 7.1% and air travel 34.1%.

This is all in addition to supply shortages. Yet as the economy is flashing huge red warning signs, President Joe Biden and his administration are telling us something different.

Under the Biden-Harris Administration, interest rates hit their highest levels in 23 years.

Credit card interest rates are at the highest level in more than three decades, while consumer credit debt has exceeded $1 trillion for the second calendar quarter and the number of Americans struggling to pay credit card bills has increased to the highest level in 12 years.

Immigration/Border Crossings:

Under President Biden’s watch, there have been over 8 million migrant encounters nationwide, 6.7 million of which have been at the Southwest border

Over 1.7 million known gotaways—illegal immigrants who have evaded Border Patrol— are now living in the interior of the United States without documentation and without having undergone any vetting by immigration officials

Veterans' Affairs:

VA announced that all Veterans who were exposed to toxins and other hazards while serving in the military — at home or abroad — will be eligible to enroll directly in VA health care

Biden falsely claimed that no troops have died under his watch – failing to acknowledge the service men and women who have died during his administration.

Crime:

According to the FBI data, the overall violent crime rate — which includes homicide, rape, robbery and aggravated assault per 100,000 population — fell by about 2.9% between 2020 and 2021  It fell further, by about 1.6%, between 2021 and 2022.

*Note:*

In 2021, full participation in the FBI’s crime data collection system dropped to 60%. In 2022, the most current statistical year, there was a meager 69% agency participation rate and there is no reason to think agency participation has increased since.

Part of the issue is that the FBI began requiring more granular crime data from agencies in 2021, posing a challenge to agencies and turning cops into statisticians. However, this also required the curtain to be pulled back on larger population center crime data, causing cities like New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco and others with large police departments to simply stop reporting crime data entirely or report manipulated crime stats.

Foreign Policy:

U.S. Senator Jim Risch (R-Idaho), ranking member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, released the following statement in response to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address:

“Today, thanks to three years of Biden’s failed foreign policy, America’s adversaries are emboldened and our homeland is less safe. From the hazardous withdrawal of Afghanistan to the inability to deter Putin, the lack of pushback against China’s economic coercion to the failure to curb illegal migration, there is no shortage of mistakes this administration has made that have led us to where we are today."

“In the last year specifically, Biden has not only failed to deter Iran, but he has actually emboldened the regime.

Iran has dramatically expanded operations against the United States, aided Hamas in its attacks against Israel, and supported the Houthis in their attacks on international commerce in the Red Sea. Instead of putting the pressure back on Iran and reestablishing deterrence, the administration has failed to enforce sanctions, unfroze Iranian assets in exchange for Americans, allowed Iranian drones and ballistic missiles to fuel Russia’s aggression in Ukraine, and stood by while Iran uses its oil and oil reserves to fund its lifestyle."

“The Biden Administration’s bad policies have allowed Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea to transition from transactional partners to strategic allies. This is a severe failure of American policy that will have consequences for years to come.”

The Biden-Harris administration has presided over the most catastrophic foreign policy failures in modern American history.

Consider the deadly fiasco that unfolded in Kabul in August 2021.

As the U.S. prepared to withdraw from Afghanistan, a process that should have been measured and orderly turned into a chaotic disaster.

Thirteen U.S. service members were killed in a suicide bombing during the evacuation, while thousands of American citizens and Afghan allies were left stranded.

Healthcare:

In his first 100 days in office, Biden broadened access to abortion pills, reversed restrictions on funding Planned Parenthood and overseas groups that provide abortion referrals and removed hurdles to medical research that uses fetal tissue obtained from abortions

Fatal overdoses driven by the illicit synthetic opioid fentanyl appear to be leveling off after hitting a record high of nearly 110,000 in 2022, but they remain about 50 percent higher than they were before Covid arrived.

Biden signed legislation that for the first time directs Medicare to negotiate prices for a limited number of drugs, but the negotiations have only just begun and drugmakers and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce have sued to block the program.

Environment:

Surpassed milestone of permitting 25 gigawatts by 2025

Finalized rule to further promote responsible solar and wind energy development on public lands, including through 80% lower fees

Announced full operational status for two California solar projects that will supply 139,000 homes with clean energy

Education:

Comprehensive Literacy State Development Grant (CLSD) awards

Competitive Grants for State Assessments (CGSA) awards

Minority Advancement:

The most recent report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed a national unemployment rate at 3.9%, while the Black unemployment rate stood at 5.6%, the highest among all races, with the unemployment rate for Black men steadily rising

https://capitalbnews.org/biden-campaign-promises-progress/

The Biden White House is the most diverse in American history, with nearly 50% of current appointees identifying as people of color.

Most notably, his Vice President is the first Black woman in history to hold the office

He appointed  the first Black woman Supreme Court Justice

Under the Biden-Harris administration, antisemitism has skyrocketed to record highs in America.

42% of American Jews have reported feeling unsafe wearing religious symbols in public, and 73% of Jewish students have reported experiencing or witnessing antisemitism on college campuses.

The American Jewish community is far less safe today after nearly four years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris
